Filipponi & Thompson Drilling, Inc. is locally owned and operated by Doug Filipponi & Ned Thompson. Both were raised in this area and attended Atascadero High School. Filipponi & Thompson Drilling has been honored as the city’s “Business of the Year” and both men, on separate occasions have been recognized as Atascadero’s “Citizen of the Year” for numerous contributions to local charities and organizations. They are a huge supporter of area schools and participate every year at the Mid-State Fair Livestock Auction. It has been a tradition to bid on and purchase animals to help the up and coming 4-H members to achieve their goals toward higher education. Doug is an active member of the Rotary Club, while Ned is an active member in the Kiwanis Club.

Filipponi & Thompson Drilling, Inc. has been serving the central coast from Monterey to Ventura since 1974, providing complete water systems. They specialize in drilling both Domestic and Irrigation wells. They are skilled in constructing top of the line solar and electrical pump systems, as well as submitting water samples. Filipponi & Thompson Drilling, Inc. has worked diligently to build a reputation of integrity, experience and quality customer service. Our Employees
Both Doug and Ned are quick to highlight the company’s success as a reflection of the quality of their employees. The crew consists of 20 employees, and both Ned and Doug have second generation family members within the company. Ned’s cousin and Doug’s brother have been at F&T Drilling for over 30 years. Over that time they have gained awareness and insight to area water levels and rock formations throughout the counties, making them a valued asset to the team. The water well drillers have 20 or more years of experience; the majority of the crew has been with the company for 15 or more years, which has created a strong spirit of family and dedication.
